The result of GBP 500.00 (€ 583.70) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by Charles Halkerston have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work View from the studio window at Buccleuch Place in November 2011 with an auction result of GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,210.34).
