In November 2011 Christies in London held the auction Victorian & British Impressionist Art, which included the work Studio interior by Charles Halkerston. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,313.32), 61% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Halkerston - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work View from the studio window at Buccleuch Place, which sold at auction in November 2011 for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,210.34).

Im November 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian & British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Studio interior von Charles Halkerston zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.313,32) und damit 61% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles Halkerston mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit View from the studio window at Buccleuch Place beobachtet, die im November 2011 für GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.210,34) versteigert wurde.
