Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work Among the things of the olden times by Charles Halkerston for GBP 625.00 (€ 729.62). This price was achieved in the auction Victorian & British Impressionist Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Charles Halkerston have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work View from the studio window at Buccleuch Place in November 2011 with an auction result of GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,210.34).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2011 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Among the things of the olden times von Charles Halkerston für GBP 625,00 (€ 729,62) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Victorian & British Impressionist Art bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Halkerston auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit View from the studio window at Buccleuch Place im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.210,34).
