Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Unknown by Charles Boit was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2003. The price achieved of GBP 352.50 (€ 499.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Boit achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Peter The Great, Emperor Of Russia (1672-1723) in November 2018 with an auction result of GBP 93,750.00 (€ 105,747.15).
