The »bidding war« ended at GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,788.29), 38% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Avery - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (IMIM; Ray (detail)), which sold at auction in October 2015 for GBP 14,375.00 (€ 20,107.03).

Die Arbeit Maquette (Design For Tree No. 1 For The Jadindagadendar) von Charles Avery wurde im April 2016 in der Auktion First Open | London bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.788,29) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles Avery mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (IMIM; Ray (detail)) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für GBP 14.375,00 (€ 20.107,03) versteigert wurde.
