Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Charles Avery was sold in the Contemporary Art Online | Milan auction at Sothebys in Milan in February 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 1,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Avery achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (IMIM; Ray (detail)) in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 14,375.00 (€ 20,107.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Charles Avery wurde im Februar 2020 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Online | Milan bei Sothebys in Mailand versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 1.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Avery erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (IMIM; Ray (detail)) im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 14.375,00 (€ 20.107,03).
