Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Charles Avery could be acquired at Phillips in an online auction in April 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Wired: Online Auction auction, the work What Them Dogs Don't Know They Know changed hands for GBP 504.00 (€ 579.75) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Avery achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (IMIM; Ray (detail)) in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 14,375.00 (€ 20,107.03).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles Avery konnte im April 2021 bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Wired: Online Auction wechselte die Arbeit What Them Dogs Don't Know They Know für GBP 504,00 (€ 579,75) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Avery erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (IMIM; Ray (detail)) im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 14.375,00 (€ 20.107,03).
