The work Armenian Playing On The Beach by Charles Atamian was sold in the 19th Century European Paintings including Spanish Painting, The Orientalist Sale, and German, Austrian, Scandinavian and Symbolist Works auction at Sothebys in London in November 2009. It achieved a price of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 11,627.69), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. Admittedly, works by Charles Atamian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Armenian looking Out To Sea in June 2010 with an auction result of GBP 58,850.00 (€ 71,567.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Armenian Playing On The Beach von Charles Atamian wurde im November 2009 in der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings including Spanish Painting, The Orientalist Sale, and German, Austrian, Scandinavian and Symbolist Works bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 11.627,69) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 18%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Atamian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Armenian looking Out To Sea im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 58.850,00 (€ 71.567,08).
