This artwork by Charles Atamian achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2009. In the 19th Century European Paintings including Spanish Painting, The Orientalist Sale, and German, Austrian, Scandinavian and Symbolist Works auction, the work Armenian On White Sands sold for GBP 55,250.00 (€ 60,464.00) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Charles Atamian; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Armenian looking Out To Sea sold at auction in June 2010 with the realized price of GBP 58,850.00 (€ 71,567.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 84 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles Atamian erzielte im November 2009 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings including Spanish Painting, The Orientalist Sale, and German, Austrian, Scandinavian and Symbolist Works wurde die Arbeit Armenian On White Sands für GBP 55.250,00 (€ 60.464,00) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 30.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Charles Atamian; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Armenian looking Out To Sea im Juni 2010 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 58.850,00 (€ 71.567,08).
