Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work La place de la Liberté à Céret by Chaïm Soutine was auctioned at Christies in Paris in October 2018. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 800,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 877,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chaïm Soutine achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Bœuf in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 28,165,000.00 (€ 25,618,519.19).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit La place de la Liberté à Céret von Chaïm Soutine kam im Oktober 2018 bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 800.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 877.500,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chaïm Soutine erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Bœuf im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.165.000,00 (€ 25.618.519,19).
