This artwork by Cesare Monti achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Rome in November 2005. In the ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO auction, the work Ritratto d'uomo con papillon, 1930 sold for EUR 2,728.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Cesare Monti have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Figura Con Berretto Nero in June 2008 with an auction result of EUR 11,250.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 82 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Cesare Monti erzielte im November 2005 bei Christies in Rom einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO wurde die Arbeit Ritratto d'uomo con papillon, 1930 für EUR 2.728,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cesare Monti auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Figura Con Berretto Nero im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 11.250,00.
