In June 2008 Sothebys in Milan held the auction 19th Century Paintings and Sculpture, which included the work Figura Con Berretto Nero by Cesare Monti. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 11,250.00 41% above the upper estimate. With this result, Figura Con Berretto Nero is even the most expensive work of art by Cesare Monti that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Juni 2008 führte Sothebys in Mailand die Auktion 19th Century Paintings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Figura Con Berretto Nero von Cesare Monti zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 11.250,00 und damit 41% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Figura Con Berretto Nero sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Cesare Monti, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
