Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Cesare Monti could be acquired at Il Ponte in November 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Dipinti e Sculture del XIX e XX Secolo auction, the work Paesaggio con montagne sullo sfondo changed hands for EUR 1,200.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 1,300.00 – 1,400.00. Admittedly, works by Cesare Monti have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Figura Con Berretto Nero in June 2008 with an auction result of EUR 11,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Cesare Monti konnte im November 2015 bei Il Ponte für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Dipinti e Sculture del XIX e XX Secolo wechselte die Arbeit Paesaggio con montagne sullo sfondo für EUR 1.200,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.300,00 – 1.400,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cesare Monti auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Figura Con Berretto Nero im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 11.250,00.
