The result of EUR 800.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 800.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cesare Monti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Figura Con Berretto Nero in June 2008 with an auction result of EUR 11,250.00.

Die Arbeit Composizione con cesta di prugne von Cesare Monti wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion Dipinti e Sculture del XIX e XX secolo bei Il Ponte versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 800,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 800,00 – 1.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cesare Monti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Figura Con Berretto Nero im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 11.250,00.
