In September 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included the work Sakura by Cerith Wyn Evans. The »bidding war« ended at USD 625.00 (€ 529.08), 56% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cerith Wyn Evans achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Inverse Reverse Perverse in March 2021 with an auction result of USD 176,400.00 (€ 150,217.15).

Im September 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Curated durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sakura von Cerith Wyn Evans zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 625,00 (€ 529,08) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cerith Wyn Evans erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Inverse Reverse Perverse im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 176.400,00 (€ 150.217,15).
