Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Make it Rain by Cecily Brown was auctioned at Christies in London in February this year. The price achieved of GBP 4,242,000.00 (€ 4,838,568.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,500,000.00 – 5,500,000.00. Other works by Cecily Brown have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May this year the work Untitled (The Beautiful and Damned) was auctioned for USD 6,705,000.00 (€ 6,293,410.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Make it Rain von Cecily Brown kam im Februar diesen Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.242.000,00 (€ 4.838.568,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.500.000,00 – 5.500.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Cecily Brown konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai diesen Jahres die Arbeit Untitled (The Beautiful and Damned) für USD 6.705.000,00 (€ 6.293.410,93) versteigert.
