Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Duchesse d'Albufera (1822-1877), in profile to the left, in black dress with wide lace collar and lace sleeves, triple pearl necklace and by Cécile Villeneuve was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2005. The price achieved of GBP 720.00 (€ 1,057.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cécile Villeneuve achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vicomtesse Geoffroy de Ruillé, in black dress with white lace underdress, pink rose and foliage at corsage, globular gold bell suspended on a black ribbon choker, pink rose and foliage and black lace veil falling from her upswept blond hair in May 2004 with an auction result of GBP 16,730.00 (€ 25,101.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Duchesse d'Albufera (1822-1877), in profile to the left, in black dress with wide lace collar and lace sleeves, triple pearl necklace and von Cécile Villeneuve kam im November 2005 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vicomtesse Geoffroy de Ruillé, in black dress with white lace underdress, pink rose and foliage at corsage, globular gold bell suspended on a black ribbon choker, pink rose and foliage and black lace veil falling from her upswept blond hair im Mai 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.730,00 (€ 25.101,16).
