Here, the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 6,600.00 (€ 9,573.24). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cécile Villeneuve - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Vicomtesse Geoffroy de Ruillé, in black dress with white lace underdress, pink rose and foliage at corsage, globular gold bell suspended on a black ribbon choker, pink rose and foliage and black lace veil falling from her upswept blond hair, which sold at auction in May 2004 for GBP 16,730.00 (€ 25,101.16).

Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 6.600,00 (€ 9.573,24) einen neuen Besitzer.
