Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2020 Bonhams in London held the auction British and European Art, which included the work Coaching gossip by Cecil Charles Windsor Aldin. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,147.50 (€ 1,281.00) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cecil Charles Windsor Aldin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work J. Ashton Radcliffe, M.F.H., Hunting with the South Dorset Hunt in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 37,000.00 (€ 25,190.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2020 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Coaching gossip von Cecil Charles Windsor Aldin zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.147,50 (€ 1.281,00) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cecil Charles Windsor Aldin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit J. Ashton Radcliffe, M.F.H., Hunting with the South Dorset Hunt im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.000,00 (€ 25.190,63).
