Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work Gone to earth; and Tug-o'war by Cecil Charles Windsor Aldin for GBP 625.00 (€ 742.64). This price was achieved in the auction Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, Maritime Art, Sporting & Wildlife Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cecil Charles Windsor Aldin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work J. Ashton Radcliffe, M.F.H., Hunting with the South Dorset Hunt in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 37,000.00 (€ 25,190.63).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Gone to earth; and Tug-o'war von Cecil Charles Windsor Aldin für GBP 625,00 (€ 742,64) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, Maritime Art, Sporting & Wildlife Art bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cecil Charles Windsor Aldin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit J. Ashton Radcliffe, M.F.H., Hunting with the South Dorset Hunt im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.000,00 (€ 25.190,63).
