Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2011 Christies in London held the auction Sporting& Wildlife Art, which included the work Repose by Cecil Charles Windsor Aldin. The price achieved of GBP 687.50 (€ 760.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cecil Charles Windsor Aldin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work J. Ashton Radcliffe, M.F.H., Hunting with the South Dorset Hunt in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 37,000.00 (€ 25,190.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Sporting& Wildlife Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Repose von Cecil Charles Windsor Aldin zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 687,50 (€ 760,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cecil Charles Windsor Aldin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit J. Ashton Radcliffe, M.F.H., Hunting with the South Dorset Hunt im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.000,00 (€ 25.190,63).
