Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work Strand Mit Menschen by Caro Niederer for GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,864.94). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Caro Niederer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Langlauf (Cross Country), which sold at auction in September 2012 for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 18,822.34).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2013 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Strand Mit Menschen von Caro Niederer für GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.864,94) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Caro Niederer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Langlauf (Cross Country) beobachtet, die im September 2012 für GBP 15.000,00 (€ 18.822,34) versteigert wurde.
