Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Carlos Enríquez could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in November 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale auction, the work Jinete (Mambi) changed hands for USD 22,500.00 (€ 19,871.06) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carlos Enríquez achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Héroe criollo in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 967,500.00 (€ 914,634.15).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Carlos Enríquez konnte im November 2018 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit Jinete (Mambi) für USD 22.500,00 (€ 19.871,06) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carlos Enríquez erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Héroe criollo im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 967.500,00 (€ 914.634,15).
