Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dos Bañistas by Carlos Enríquez was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 25,200.00 (€ 21,091.40) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carlos Enríquez achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Héroe criollo in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 967,500.00 (€ 914,634.15).

Die Arbeit Dos Bañistas von Carlos Enríquez kam im November 2020 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 25.200,00 (€ 21.091,40) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carlos Enríquez erzielen.
