Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Paisaje con caballo 12 3/8 x 11 in (31.5 x 28 cm) by Carlos Enríquez was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Cuban Art auction at Bonhams in February this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,080.00 (€ 3,848.33) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carlos Enríquez achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Héroe criollo in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 967,500.00 (€ 914,634.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Paisaje con caballo 12 3/8 x 11 in (31.5 x 28 cm) von Carlos Enríquez wurde im Februar diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Cuban Art bei Bonhams versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.080,00 (€ 3.848,33) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carlos Enríquez erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Héroe criollo im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 967.500,00 (€ 914.634,15).
