Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mariposas Negras by Carlos Amorales was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2014. The price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 3,211.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carlos Amorales achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Horny Ghost in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 52,500.00 (€ 46,724.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mariposas Negras von Carlos Amorales kam im September 2014 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 3.211,12) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carlos Amorales erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Horny Ghost im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 52.500,00 (€ 46.724,81).
