Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work A Lady Playing The Piano by Carl Vilhelm Holsøe for USD 23,750.00 (€ 20,391.52). This price was achieved in the auction European Art Part II at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Carl Vilhelm Holsøe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Artist's Wife sitting at a Window in a sunlit Room in October 2015 with an auction result of USD 167,000.00 (€ 151,240.72).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A Lady Playing The Piano von Carl Vilhelm Holsøe für USD 23.750,00 (€ 20.391,52) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion European Art Part II bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carl Vilhelm Holsøe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Artist's Wife sitting at a Window in a sunlit Room im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 167.000,00 (€ 151.240,72).
