In June 2003 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art and Dogs, which included the work A setter on the scent by Carl Hoyrup. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 646.25 (€ 928.70), 29% above the upper estimate. Other works by Carl Hoyrup have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 881.25 (€ 1,422.84) in September 2001 for the work On the dunes.

Im Juni 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion Sporting Art and Dogs durch, in der auch die Arbeit A setter on the scent von Carl Hoyrup zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 646,25 (€ 928,70) und damit 29% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Carl Hoyrup haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von GBP 881,25 (€ 1.422,84) im September 2001 für die Arbeit On the dunes beobachtet.
