In the Important Winter Sale auction, the work Interior with woman by the window changed hands for SEK 185,000.00 (€ 18,424.37) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of SEK 200,000.00 – 250,000.00. Admittedly, works by Carl Vilhelm Holsøe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Artist's Wife sitting at a Window in a sunlit Room in October 2015 with an auction result of USD 167,000.00 (€ 151,240.72).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Carl Vilhelm Holsøe konnte im Dezember 2020 bei Bukowski in Stockholm für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Important Winter Sale wechselte die Arbeit Interior with woman by the window für SEK 185.000,00 (€ 18.424,37) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 200.000,00 – 250.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carl Vilhelm Holsøe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Artist's Wife sitting at a Window in a sunlit Room im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 167.000,00 (€ 151.240,72).
