Sold at the estimate price
In October 2012 Ketterer in Munich held the auction Post War/ Zeitgenössische Kunst, which included the work Ohne Titel by Carel Balth. The auction ended at the price of EUR 400.00, which exactly corresponded to the pre-set estimate of EUR 400.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carel Balth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in April 2011 with an auction result of EUR 6,000.00.
Zuschlag beim Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2012 führte Ketterer in München die Auktion Post War/ Zeitgenössische Kunst durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ohne Titel von Carel Balth zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 400,00 entsprach exakt dem Schätzpreis von EUR 400,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carel Balth erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 6.000,00.
