Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Carel Balth was sold in the The BAT Artventure Collection formerly known as The Peter Stuyvesant Collection – Part Three auction at Sothebys in Amsterdam in October 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 1,125.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Carel Balth have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in April 2011 with an auction result of EUR 6,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Carel Balth wurde im Oktober 2011 in der Auktion The BAT Artventure Collection formerly known as The Peter Stuyvesant Collection – Part Three bei Sothebys in Amsterdam versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 1.125,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carel Balth auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 6.000,00.
