Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2011 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction The BAT Artventure Collection formerly known as The Peter Stuyvesant Collection – Part Three, which included this untitled work by Carel Balth. The price achieved of EUR 1,750.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carel Balth - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in April 2011 for EUR 6,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2011 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion The BAT Artventure Collection formerly known as The Peter Stuyvesant Collection – Part Three durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Carel Balth zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.750,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Carel Balth mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im April 2011 für EUR 6.000,00 versteigert wurde.
