Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Hanging Lake #2 by Bryan Hunt for USD 625.00 (€ 551.54). This price was achieved in the auction The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,200.00 – 1,800.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bryan Hunt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pangaea II in May 2001 with an auction result of USD 44,650.00 (€ 52,808.99).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Hanging Lake #2 von Bryan Hunt für USD 625,00 (€ 551,54) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.200,00 – 1.800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bryan Hunt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pangaea II im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 44.650,00 (€ 52.808,99).
