Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Copper Moon by Bryan Hunt for USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,721.50). This price was achieved in the auction The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Bryan Hunt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pangaea II in May 2001 with an auction result of USD 44,650.00 (€ 52,808.99).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Copper Moon von Bryan Hunt für USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.721,50) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bryan Hunt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pangaea II im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 44.650,00 (€ 52.808,99).
