Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction CONTEMPORARY LIVING – Photographs, Prints & Design, which included the work John Lennon, Dakota, Nyc by Brian Hamill. The price achieved of USD 5,625.00 (€ 5,100.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Brian Hamill - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Manhattan, which sold at auction in April 2015 for USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,798.06).
