Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Selected Images Of John Lennon At The Dakota, Nyc by Brian Hamill for USD 6,000.00 (€ 5,151.10). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Brian Hamill - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Manhattan, which sold at auction in April 2015 for USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,798.06).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Selected Images Of John Lennon At The Dakota, Nyc von Brian Hamill für USD 6.000,00 (€ 5.151,10) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Photographs bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Brian Hamill mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Manhattan beobachtet, die im April 2015 für USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.798,06) versteigert wurde.
