Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Selected Images Of John Lennon At The Dakota, Nyc by Brian Hamill for USD 6,000.00 (€ 5,151.10). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Brian Hamill - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Manhattan, which sold at auction in April 2015 for USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,798.06).
