Auction result well in line with expectations
The work One Here One There by Brendan Lynch was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in June 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,625.00 (€ 9,525.73) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Brendan Lynch - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in February 2015 for GBP 16,875.00 (€ 23,268.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit One Here One There von Brendan Lynch kam im Juni 2015 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 9.525,73) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Brendan Lynch mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Februar 2015 für GBP 16.875,00 (€ 23.268,12) versteigert wurde.
