Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Fall 2011 (White Flats Drying 2, White Flats Drying 1, White Flats Drying 3) by Brendan Fowler was auctioned at Phillips in London in December 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 7,638.48). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Brendan Fowler - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Spring 2011 (½ X ½" Clear Pine Molding Inside Of The Car W/Show Card Black Mirror 2, Phil Loading Truck, Mirror In Miami), which sold at auction in May 2014 for USD 34,375.00 (€ 25,201.61).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Fall 2011 (White Flats Drying 2, White Flats Drying 1, White Flats Drying 3) von Brendan Fowler im Dezember 2015 bei Phillips in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 5.625,00 (€ 7.638,48) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Brendan Fowler mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Spring 2011 (½ X ½" Clear Pine Molding Inside Of The Car W/Show Card Black Mirror 2, Phil Loading Truck, Mirror In Miami) beobachtet, die im Mai 2014 für USD 34.375,00 (€ 25.201,61) versteigert wurde.
