Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Brad Kahlhamer could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in June 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work Rebia R.C. changed hands for USD 1,375.00 (€ 1,232.74) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Brad Kahlhamer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Steer Skull in November 2006 with an auction result of USD 36,000.00 (€ 27,147.27).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Brad Kahlhamer konnte im Juni 2015 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated wechselte die Arbeit Rebia R.C. für USD 1.375,00 (€ 1.232,74) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Brad Kahlhamer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Steer Skull im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 36.000,00 (€ 27.147,27).
