Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work The Collector by Boo Ritson was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2011, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,497.22). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Boo Ritson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work "Nina", 2006, which sold at auction in November 2010 for SEK 200,000.00 (€ 21,862.53).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit The Collector von Boo Ritson im Oktober 2011 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.497,22) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Boo Ritson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit "Nina", 2006 beobachtet, die im November 2010 für SEK 200.000,00 (€ 21.862,53) versteigert wurde.
