This artwork by Bob Law achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March 2012. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art auction, the work Two Bronzes Seven Iron sold for GBP 10,625.00 (€ 12,737.41) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Bob Law have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nothing to be Afraid of V 16.7.69 in March this year with an auction result of GBP 101,100.00 (€ 115,020.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 77 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Bob Law erzielte im März 2012 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Two Bronzes Seven Iron für GBP 10.625,00 (€ 12.737,41) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bob Law auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nothing to be Afraid of V 16.7.69 im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 101.100,00 (€ 115.020,78).
