Description
BLINKY PALERMO (1943-1977) T screenprint in black and olive, on wove paper, 1970, signed and dated '71' in pencil, numbered 85/150 (there were also ten artist's proofs), published by the Westfälisches Kunstverein, Münster, Germany, the full sheet, in very good condition Sheet: 19 1 ⁄ 2 x 20 in. (495 x 508 mm.)
Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work T by Blinky Palermo was auctioned at Christies in New York in April this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 2,268.00 (€ 2,054.35). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Blinky Palermo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ohne Titel in May last year with an auction result of USD 5,640,000.00 (€ 5,255,800.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit T von Blinky Palermo kam im April diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 2.268,00 (€ 2.054,35) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Blinky Palermo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ohne Titel im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.640.000,00 (€ 5.255.800,95).
