Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Beverly Pepper could be acquired at Christies in New York in March this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Edition: New York: Featuring the Collection of Kenwal Steel in Support of GLAAD auction, this work without title changed hands for USD 756.00 (€ 695.36) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Beverly Pepper achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ligne Scolpite II in September 2018 with an auction result of USD 93,750.00 (€ 80,665.98).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Beverly Pepper konnte im März diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Edition: New York: Featuring the Collection of Kenwal Steel in Support of GLAAD wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 756,00 (€ 695,36) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Beverly Pepper erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ligne Scolpite II im September 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 93.750,00 (€ 80.665,98).
