Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In February this year Bonhams held the auction Post War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Untitled, circa 1980 by Beverly Pepper. The »bidding war« ended at USD 17,850.00 (€ 16,836.45), 19% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Beverly Pepper have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ligne Scolpite II in September 2018 with an auction result of USD 93,750.00 (€ 80,665.98).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Februar diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Post War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled, circa 1980 von Beverly Pepper zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 17.850,00 (€ 16.836,45) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Beverly Pepper auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ligne Scolpite II im September 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 93.750,00 (€ 80.665,98).
