This artwork by Betty Woodman achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in November 2019. In the 20th C. & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session auction, the work Pillow Pitcher sold for USD 35,000.00 (€ 31,763.32) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Betty Woodman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Triptych (Tulips), which sold at auction in October 2019 for GBP 87,500.00 (€ 101,493.72).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Betty Woodman erzielte im November 2019 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th C. & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session wurde die Arbeit Pillow Pitcher für USD 35.000,00 (€ 31.763,32) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Betty Woodman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Triptych (Tulips) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2019 für GBP 87.500,00 (€ 101.493,72) versteigert wurde.
