In November 2019 Phillips in New York held the auction 20th C. & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session, which included the work Operatic Vase and Shadow by Betty Woodman. The »bidding war« ended at USD 47,500.00 (€ 43,107.36), 58% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Betty Woodman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Triptych (Tulips), which sold at auction in October 2019 for GBP 87,500.00 (€ 101,493.72).

Im November 2019 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th C. & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Operatic Vase and Shadow von Betty Woodman zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 43.107,36) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Betty Woodman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Triptych (Tulips) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2019 für GBP 87.500,00 (€ 101.493,72) versteigert wurde.
