The work "Marilyn Roses (from the last sitting)", 1962 by Bert Stern was sold in the Contemporary Art & Design auction at Bukowski in Stockholm in April this year. The »bidding war« ended at SEK 90,000.00 (€ 7,956.52), 50% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bert Stern achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Marilyn Monroe, 'The Last Sitting', 1962, an exhibition presented at seventh 'Mois de la Photo à Paris', 1992 in December 2008 with an auction result of USD 146,500.00 (€ 105,251.81).

Die Arbeit "Marilyn Roses (from the last sitting)", 1962 von Bert Stern wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion Contemporary Art & Design bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von SEK 90.000,00 (€ 7.956,52) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bert Stern erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Marilyn Monroe, 'The Last Sitting', 1962, an exhibition presented at seventh 'Mois de la Photo à Paris', 1992 im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 146.500,00 (€ 105.251,81).
