In December 2008 Christies in New York held the auction Icons of Glamour and Style: The Constantiner Collection, which included the work Marilyn Monroe, 'The Last Sitting', 1962, an exhibition presented at seventh 'Mois de la Photo à Paris', 1992 by Bert Stern. It changed hands for a price of USD 146,500.00 (€ 105,251.81) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Marilyn Monroe, 'The Last Sitting', 1962, an exhibition presented at seventh 'Mois de la Photo à Paris', 1992 is the most expensive artwork by Bert Stern that we have observed at auctions so far.
