In March 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Made in Britain, which included the work Cockney Life At Elephant And Castle, 1949 by Bert Hardy. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,625.00 (€ 1,886.09), 35% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bert Hardy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Gorbals, Glasgow, 1948, which sold at auction in April 2014 for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,781.85).

Im März 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Made in Britain durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cockney Life At Elephant And Castle, 1949 von Bert Hardy zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.625,00 (€ 1.886,09) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Bert Hardy mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Gorbals, Glasgow, 1948 beobachtet, die im April 2014 für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.781,85) versteigert wurde.
