Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'The Gorbal Boys', 1948 by Bert Hardy was sold in the Photographs auction at Sothebys in London in May 2021. The price achieved of GBP 1,638.00 (€ 1,905.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bert Hardy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Gorbals, Glasgow, 1948, which sold at auction in April 2014 for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,781.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit 'The Gorbal Boys', 1948 von Bert Hardy wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion Photographs bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.638,00 (€ 1.905,85) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Bert Hardy mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Gorbals, Glasgow, 1948 beobachtet, die im April 2014 für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.781,85) versteigert wurde.
